Cellular:  Our eyewear includes electronics that allow its user to communicate via cell phone, and that can determine if the phone should ring based on the user’s status. For example, the eyewear would only ring if the eyewear determines that it is being worn by the user. Or, if the user is a student in a classroom, she would not receive calls until she steps out of the classroom. Moreover, the user could preset the eyewear so it would not ring if the eyewear determines that the user is running. This solution is tailored to the user’s outdoor schedule and lifestyle.

Sun sensor:   Our eyewear equipped with sun sensor tracks exposure to UV rays and warns wearers of overexposure. The user can enjoy outdoor activities without any preoccupation with the hours past since the last sun screen application, because through tracking cumulative sun exposure, the sun sensor could alert her in advance.

*

Integrated camera:  An integrated camera enables our eyewear users to record, save, and share annotated images and videos of their most memorable experiences and exciting accomplishments, such as impressive stunts, from their own unique points of view.

*

Detachable head-worn electronics:   With our eyewear, electronics can be securely and comfortably strapped to the user’s head, and removed when not in use.

*

Heart-rate monitor:   Our solution incorporates a heart-rate monitor based on radiation that is convenient to use for an athlete who may be in motion. For example, its heart-rate sensor could press to a part of the body, and transmit detected signals to the monitor. Because our eyewear is in a stable position relative to the user, the sensor could even be at a sidewall of the nose, serving as an excellent platform for heart-rate sensing. Advantageously, our monitor can alert the user when the heart rate is too fast or too slow; it can also indicate to the user when the pace of exercise is ideal for her objectives and should be maintained.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY EYEWEAR
This IntellectualWare renders eyewear invaluable to sports enthusiasts and adventurers, such as skiers, cyclists, runners, surfers, or bikers. With our patented solutions, eyewear is transformed into powerful tools that could monitor and track fitness data, motivating users while sensing the surrounding environment.

*

ADVENTURE AND FITNESS ACTIVITY MONITOR:   Our patented eyewear technology could monitor and track users’ outdoor activities, such as speed, distance travelled, altitude, vertical jump, temperature, and time. Conveniently, in addition to assessing the environment explored, our eyewear with an activity monitor also counts steps, measures calories expended, and alerts users via voice. This way, users can focus on immersing themselves in their outdoor activities, while the wearable technology enhances their experience and displays measured activity.

*

Radiation:  A radiation detector incorporated into our eyewear can sense hazardous radiation, such as x-rays. The wearer can receive information related to the measurements via a display on the eyewear. Via the radiation detector, the eyewear can issue a warning to the user when the radiation is approaching harmful levels, so she can decide whether to continue with her activities or take appropriate protective measures.

*

Temperature sensor:  Our eyewear includes sensors for body temperature and/or environmental temperature to help users determine optimal exercise conditions. Further, the sensor for body temperature can keep track of temperature change over a period of time, and alert the user if the change is problematic. This could be particularly useful in a very hot environment.

*

Altimeter:  An altimeter integrated with our eyewear measures the vertical distance the user travels over a period of time. The vertical distance travelled over time can be displayed for the wearer. This eyewear could be particularly useful for skiers and mountain climbers.
